Songbird

In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence.
— Robert Lynd —

The white-breasted nuthatch is a familiar sight in Hickory. They forage along tree trunks and branches, often hanging upside down, in search of insects. I have not seen them on my bird feeders but they spend a lot of time at the suet cage.

  1. Such a sweet little bird. Beautiful picture. I would love to have something besides house finches and house sparrows!

  2. What a pretty little birdy!
